Security Blanket # 5

Grab a mug and settle down with me to discuss the Art of Why.  It has been a really long time since I have posted a comment.  This is my first blog in 2012.  Time has been passing really quickly.  I have been busy designing art and generally trying to get it together.  I have read some amazing blogs.  There are so many out there...WOW.  I wonder if any are being read.  I wonder if mine is being read.  Well, here is what I have been doing:  working on the Security Blanket series.  This is Security Blanket # 5.  I am working on color combinations and texture.  Right now I am thinking that this will be the last one I will do.  I have many ideas and want to move on.

                                          

Spring is here in the Mountains and I have renewed energy.   Fabric in my studio is taking on new shapes and forms.  Just getting back to writing feels good.  So...enough for today....Later...

PS: This fiber piece was entered in the Denver National Quilt Show at the beginning of May and it won a prize.  I was so pleased and excited.  My first.  I thought that the reward was just being in the show.  It was awarded Honorable Mentioned in the Wall category. I am encouraged to do more shows.
